Disorders that we treat

Speech Sound Disorders

Speech Sound Disorders

(including articulation, phonology, and childhood apraxia of speech)

Our speech sound therapy helps children who have difficulty pronouncing certain sounds or being understood by others. Challenges may include articulation errors (difficulty producing specific sounds), phonological process patterns (using sound simplifications that affect speech clarity), or motor-based speech disorders such as Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS).

Therapy is designed to make speech clearer, more accurate, and more confident. We use engaging, evidence-based activities tailored to each child’s needs—whether the goal is mastering a single sound or improving motor planning for more consistent speech production. Parents are guided with practical strategies to support practice at home, helping children communicate more effectively and confidently in everyday situations.

Language Early Intervention

Language Early Intervention

0-3 years

Our early intervention services focus on helping toddlers build the foundation for communication, social connection, and language development. We work closely with families to support skills such as gestures, imitation, first words, vocabulary growth, and early play—all essential steps toward strong speech and language abilities.

Therapy sessions are play-based, interactive, and family-centered, giving parents practical strategies to support communication at home. By identifying and addressing speech and language needs early, we help set the stage for long-term success in learning, relationships, and self-expression.

Language: Receptive and Expressive

Language: Receptive and Expressive

3-17 years

Our receptive and expressive language services support children and teens who have difficulty understanding language or expressing their thoughts clearly. Challenges may include following directions, answering questions, organizing ideas, using grammar correctly, or finding the right words to communicate.

Therapy focuses on helping each child build strong comprehension, vocabulary, and sentence formulation skills, while also developing confidence in using language for learning and social interaction. Sessions are individualized, engaging, and designed to meet each child where they are—supporting meaningful progress in everyday communication.

Fluency

Fluency

Our fluency therapy supports children and teens who experience stuttering or disruptions in the flow of speech. We help clients develop smoother, more confident communication through individualized strategies that reduce tension, increase awareness, and build comfort when speaking.

A big part of our approach includes parent training and collaboration. We work closely with families to help them understand stuttering, create supportive communication environments, and respond to moments of disfluency in ways that foster confidence and ease. Therapy sessions are positive, pressure-free, and designed to help children feel empowered to express themselves freely and authentically.

Gestalt language processors (GLP)

We support children who are Gestalt Language Processors—learners who develop language through memorized phrases or “chunks” rather than single words. These children often use scripts from songs, shows, or familiar routines before learning to break them down into smaller, more flexible pieces.

Our therapy focuses on helping children move through the Natural Language Acquisition stages—from using echolalic or scripted language to creating their own original, spontaneous sentences. We use a play-based, child-led approach that honors each child’s unique communication style while building understanding, connection, and self-expression.

Telehealth

Our clinic is able to provide speech and language therapy through a secure connection to clients located anywhere in the state of California. Our professional therapists will engage your child through a live and secure video call allowing children to access therapy from their home.

Telehealth sessions are conducted in the same format as in-person sessions allowing us to target your child's fluency, articulation, phonology, and/or language goals. In addition, the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) has recognized telehealth as an effective and evidence based service delivery model.
